2025 September - Maine, NY

After spending the hot months in Newfoundland Canada I left the WINs and returned to Maine. I discovered that my steer tires are excessively worn and could not find the right size and load rating in Canada. Not that it was easy in Maine either, but I did get them and then finding alignment was problematic as well for nobody thought their machine would handle the RV ended up at a truck stop for that.

They did a really good job on the alignment! They gave me a chart that showed before and after alignment measurements. It turns out I was almost 1/2 inch off! No wonder the front tires did not last very long! They also measured the rear tire alignment which I thought was unusual but glad they checked.

So then I caught up with Janet Henry and we did some kayaking along the main coast with its severe high and low tides, some bike rides and hiking. She is a pleasure to travel with, early riser, eager for activity.

We stayed at the American Legion and they had a Memorial Wall.

I left Maine, went to Pennsylvania to spend a little time with Tanya, Here is our visitor in camp.

After leaving Tanya, I stop in Albany, NY to see the capital building. It appears that legislation is in house from January to July then they go home and work with their constituents. So it was really quiet tour!

Also in Albany is a DE - Destroyer Escort, made during the 1st World War. Then after service to US it was lease lend to Greece, purchased by an association in the US, brought back and restored.
This is the second ship I have toured that allowed me into the engine room! Cool!

This is just a cool Diner that had several cool restored cars outside.
